It’s March Already??

So where did February go? I guess it got lost amongst all the snow days!

Now we are a week into March. Time changes next weekend – ugh, I don’t want to lose an hour of sleep!! Things are busy! I attended my first writers meetup on Saturday. We discussed plot and structure. It was informative, and it was nice to hear the viewpoints of different folks. I am also looking forward to my ballroom dancing class this Wednesday. It should be fun and hopefully good exercise.

I’m still busy reading. I’ve gotten hooked on the Kate Daniels series, which is written by Ilona Andrews. It is urban fantasy and very interesting. I am still crossing my fingers that Kate and Curran, the Beast Lord, will hook-up! The books are very imaginative and include all kinds of supernatural beings.

I’ve also gotten into reading more young adult fiction. I read The Hunger Games, and it didn’t do anything for me. I found it to be rather harsh and violent book for young people to be reading. Then, I read Nightshade by Andrea Creamer. Loved it. Need I say  more!! I can’t wait for the release of Wolfsbane, the next book in the series. Last night, I started Unearthly by Cynthia Hand. It kind of reminds me of Fallen with the angels and fire part. The resemblance ends there (at least for now). I am curious to see what develops between Christian, Tucker, and Clara Gardner (part-angel, savior of Christian?).

Well, I would promise to post more frequently, but unfortunately, I know it won’t happen. Oh, the flash fiction pieces are coming along nicely. I’m very excited!!
