A Matter of Time

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’ve not been doing much in the way of blogging or writing. Oops! I swear it is the February Funk that is holding me firmly within its iron grasp. Grr! Must break free! The one thing I have been doing is reading – my Kindle Fire is quicking accumulating lots and lots of books.

My current read is A Matter of Time, Vol. 1 by Mary Calmes. I’m already 87% finished and I started reading last night after dinner. Oops! Yes, I really have no life, but in my own defense, it was snowing and blustery cold yesterday. There is also the fact that I am really enjoying the story. I just love Jory! He is such a charming, loving character who has an incredibly big heart. I love how he is growing and maturing. Then, there is Dane, Jory’s boss and now brother. I am wondering what is going to happen with Dane. I wonder if he will come out at some point since none of the women he dates seem to satisfy him (not that they even get that far!). Last but not least, we get to the big, sexy, still in the closet Detective. Sam is so controlling and so in love with Jory, yet he can’t possibly accept the changes which will happen in his life if he comes out. Poor Jory just can’t say “no” to the guy! Add in the fact that the book opens with Jory witnessing a murder – wow, a recipe for adventure, tension, and falling in love with the main characters. I can’t wait to see how this one ends. I suspect I may just be left hanging since there is a Volume 2. Thank goodness for instant books on the Kindle!
