When You Dare

What a great contemporary romantic suspense! I loved When You Dare, the first book in Lori Foster’s Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor Series. This is my first read by Lori Foster, and it definitely won’t be my last.

Lori packs a lot of punch into this book – tough topics, great characters, romance, and an enticing plot. I like how she gave the readers several suspects to consider but didn’t pull any surprises when it came to revealing the “bad guy.”

Dare is a tough, rugged, completely alpha male who rescues Molly from human traffickers in Mexico. He is one hundred percent possessive, muscle-bound, yet gentle giant hottie. I give Lori credit, too. Molly is a tough, independent woman. I liked that she wasn’t needy or whiny or a Barbie doll.

Chris, Dare’s gay (equally hot) assistant, adds to the story as well. I like that he immediately feels protective of Molly, but he still manages to tease both she and Dare. Plus, he can handle a gun even after surviving some trauma (don’t want to spoil anything). Plus, if you are a dog fan, Dare’s labs are completely adorable. As is his sprawling lakeside house.

So, since I enjoy trying to find Hollywood hotties to match up with male characters, I have an idea for Dare. One of my favorite Hollywood hotties with a touch of bad – Dominic Purcell. Big yum, ladies!

So, this book gets 4.5 out of 5 stars!

Next up, Trace of Fever. We met Trace in Dare’s book – he is a hottie himself, intelligent, caring, and supposed to be smoother than Dare. Can’t wait to find out more about him!

  1. Hey! I also try to match celebrities to the characters in these books. I think you found one that may be a perfect Dare. The one I am struggling with is Jackson Savor from the same series as Dare. I even asked Lori Foster, the author, and she said she couldn’t anyone being good enough to portray Jackson in a movie, lol. Please email me if you find a good Jackson!

    1. Well,I agree with your choice of Dominic as Dare.if you ask me,I always imagine Daniel Craig or Tom Hardy as Jackson. Both of them have the playfulness and protective instint as Jackson.Lori’s bad boys is amazing.I love them all!

      1. I can’t wait to read about Jackson. I’m definitely curious now after your comments. I will have to check out both Craig and Hardy. Any thoughts on who could be Trace?
