Singing

I have to share with you. We are doing a bunch of cool music at choral arts this fall. However, two of the pieces really stand out to me. One is Gloria composed by Randol Alan Bass. There are several links on YouTube of groups performing the piece. Here is a link to Randol Bass Music: http://www.randolbassmusic.com/Works/Christmas/Gloria/gloria.htm

The second piece of music that I really like is a newly composed work. It is titled In Dulci Jubilo. This piece is written by Matthew Culloton. Ideally, it is to be performed a cappella. We have been working on this piece a lot so I suspect we just may do that. Here is a link to the publisher’s website. http://www.morningstarmusic.com/viewitem.cfm/item_id/50-0090 Be sure to listen to the piece. It is incredible! I love the way it builds, the feeling of singing in a round, and the inclusion of Latin. Just perfect for Christmas.
