Recent Romance Reads

I feel very fortunate that I’ve had a decent amount of time to read of late. I’ve been focused on M-F paranormal romance. Check out the three books mentioned below. Have you read them? If so, let me know what you thought!

When Darkness Ends (Book #12–the final–in the Guardians of Eternity series) by Alexandra Ivy.

Blurb:When_Darkness_Ends

Cyn, the vampire clan chief of Ireland, is an unabashed hedonist whose beauty is surpassed only by his insatiable appetite for pleasure. It’s no wonder he’s furious when he’s transported from the magical land of the pureblooded feys to his desolate private lair—only to have his very existence thrown into a chaos that even he cannot charm his way out of…

Most women may be all but powerless against Cyn, but Fallon, a sharp-witted fairy princess, is less than beguiled by the silver-tongued vampire. She’s a serious soul with no time for the sort of games he plays—especially when they learn that someone is trying to close the veil that separates the dimensions. But seduction may prove the most powerful force of all, as attraction ignites between the unlikely pair even as worlds are colliding around them…

I really enjoyed this one. Cyn was to-die-for!! So very yummy!

4.5 out of 5 stars!

When an Alpha Purrs (A Lion’s Pride #1) by Eve Langlais.

When_An_Alpha_PurrsBlurb:

A billionaire CEO and leader of the largest East Coast pride, Arik is a ladies man and a lion. Used to commanding others, and obedience, he can’t believe it when a hairdresser with tempting curves chops off a hunk of his precious mane.

But her biggest mistake is in running from him.

Run as fast as you can, little mouse, because this cat loves to chase—and pounce.

Oh, and he also likes to nibble on tender bits. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for a human woman, a woman who can make the impossible happen because everyone knows lions can’t purr…until now.

Cute. Somewhat predictable. Arik was a bit overbearing at the start, but he quickly grew on me.

3.5 stars out of 5.

Operation Saving Daniel by Nina Croft.

Blurb:

At eighteen, Melissa seduced her best friend Julia’s brother only to run away shortly after. While Daniel was her fairytale Operation_Saving_Danielprince, Lissa didn’t believe in happy ever afters.

Ten years and a near death experience later, Lissa is ready for a husband and family. But a cry for help from Julia puts that dream on hold. Daniel is acting weird and he’s about to marry his long term girlfriend—AKA The Evil One. Someone needs to save him.

Daniel has never stopped loving Lissa. Ten years ago when he gave her a little freedom, he always intended that one day they would be together. Right up until the moment he was bitten by a werewolf. Now, Daniel has to hide what he is. He won’t risk anyone else, especially the woman he loves.

But Lissa is back. Their attraction is stronger than ever and Lissa is nothing if not tenacious.

This is my current read (I’m at 40%), but so far I’m enjoying it. Daniel is definitely in a tough spot. I’m hoping Lissa and the sisters can help him out!
